OCTOBER 2021 — Wrong Letters: Fat and Juicy with a Pointed Brush

About Course

Enrollments close a few hours before the first live session!

And now for my favorite fusion letters: Yellow Submarine. We will use pen and pointed brush to create these fat and juicy letters filled with lush colors. It’s not easy, I’ll be honest, but it is a truly enjoyable approach to making letters. We will bring together elements from various scripts, combining them to make letterforms with attitude. You have seen them on my Instagram. Now is the chance to try it out and find your own personal fusion. Participation in Series 5 recommended.

Love these letters

This course took my lettering to places I never expected. I relish all that I am learning, and the permission to be human and in progress!

This course was a stretch, not a match! I have much work and play to do to conquer using a brush.

great as always - finally got to use a pointed brush - first time ever - great opportunity to do so in this course! Very inspiring, very intriguing and highly educational. Thanks a lot.

Out of all the series this has been one of the most personally inspirational and has pushed me to places I would never have gone to alone. I have enjoyed the very deliberate process of recalling all the elements of forms in my mind and finding more unusual ways to work…from the psychedelic to the organic I have tried such a breadth of forms over the last few weeks. Brody is an extremely generous tutor and the work is totally motivating. If you want to find your own path forward the Brody online series are it. Thanks Brody SO much for your instruction and sharing of all your hard earned secrets. I can’t wait for the next one.

Thoroughly enjoyable Series. Extended my repertoire and saw many inspiring pieces by Brody and his other students. I did lots of home study in order to get maximum benefit from the opportunity to have the work reviewed by Brody. He delivers a well thought out professional offering across a huge range of time zones and copes respectfully with students from all backgrounds. This calligraphy translates into many varied visual art media and I have every confidence of integrating it into my own practice in the future.
